Mark Mueller : March 2006

As I have written previously I have been in the process of moving to another city, San Pedro Sula, and of transitioning to serve with Cure International, a mission that performs pediatric orthopedic surgery. I have already moved and praise God all went well. Unfortunately there have been some delays in my start with Cure but I hope to begin the ministry soon. Meanwhile I will be updating my training program and exploring new opportunities to train people in pediatric physical therapy. Read More »

Mark Mueller : February 2006 - Times of Transition

As I wrote in my last report I am in the process of moving to another city, San Pedro Sula. The past 2 years I have been serving with a church in La Ceiba, Honduras, where I have trained people in pediatric physical therapy and started a therapy clinic for children with motor problems. The church understands that the Lord is sending me to another place and supports me in the transition. Read More »

Mark Mueller : Update December 2005

I was in the U.S. from August to early December. I went to work and raise support for 2006. Thank God, I found a temporary job and He has provided the support to return to Honduras. My intention was to be stateside for only 2 months but I hurt my back on the trip to the states and needed time to recuperate. Praise God that my back is better. Read More »

Mark Mueller : July 2004 - Hands of Mercy Physical Therapy in Honduras

Our vision is to raise up a rehab center for handicapped children. Although the need is great, there is no therapy for children in this part of Honduras. When I last wrote we were beginning the second phase of the project, the training of assistant therapists who will volunteer at the center. The first group of students has finished their classes and practicum. We decided to train another group. They have finished their classes and are now completing their practicum. The practicum is in the Emilia D'Cuire School, the only special education school in this part of Honduras. The school has a program for children with physical problems. Currently there are 15 children in the program. Two people from the school have completed the training with me and will provide therapy for the children. This partnership between the church and the school has been a great help for all, especially for the children and their families. Read More »
